Resistance Film Festival extends deadline

The 16th edition of the Resistance International Film Festival has extended deadline for entries.

The organizers of the event announced that since the festival has been welcomed by the filmmakers, the second phase has extended deadline.

The first phase of the event was held on September 21 to 28, while the second stage will be held on November 21 to 27 to celebrate the anniversary of Basij Day, which falls on November 25.

So far, over 9000 works are sent to the secretariat of the festival among which more than 3000 are international films.

Despite having various sections, the main competition is the most popular section of the festival.

The Resistance festival is organized every year to commemorate the anniversary of the 1980-1988 Iraqi war on Iran, which is known as the “Sacred Defense” in Iran.

The rest of the event will go online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
